Pokemon Uraniam 1.0 Alternate Download Links Surface

If you were one of the 1.5 million people to get your hands on the unofficial Pokemon game, Pokemon Uranium, you might be enjoying yourself and having a blast in the fictional new town of Tandor. If you were unlucky enough to have missed out on the official links before Nintendo’s lawyers stepped in to shut it all down like SJWs getting up into Microsoft’s after-party at GDC, then you’re still in luck because alternate download links have already popped up for the game.

Pokemon Uranium wen live last month in July with a trailer that has garnered over 1.2 million views. The game itself managed more than 1.5 million downloads. It’s a free-to-play game for PC or Mac and has been in development for over nine years. There’s 150 Pokemon, new moves, new items, new locations and even a multiplayer online mode for trading and PvP. There was also an all new story centered around battling a Nuclear-type Pokemon who was threatening the world.

You can see what the gameplay is like with the trailer below.

Unfortunately, over on the Pokemon Uranium website they announced that the game is no longer going to be available from the official site because Nintendo lawyers asked them to take down the links. So they did.

However, people who already downloaded the game have managed to keep the peer-to-peer seeds active using torrents, and have also provided an alternate download link. Reddit user sweepyoface posted an alternate download link over on the sub-Reddit for Pokemon Uranium.

If you don’t trust the alternate download link, Reddit user DripplingDonger dripped some useful torrent hashes out to the public, where you can grab them along with a link to Pokemon Uranium’s 1.01 patch.

While the official links may no longer be available, Pokemon Uranium may continue to live on as an underground fan-game with a decent following.
