Halo 5: Guardian fans seeking for more stuff to do in the Sci-Fi FPS game will discover new maps and game modes that will be featured in the Fall Season of Team Arena, and the Halo Championship series. Halo 5: Guardians is out now for Xbox One.
According to the new update over on the Halo Waypoint.blog, the devs over at 343 Industries detailed some new things pertaining to the Fall Season and the Championship Series.
The following maps in Slayer consist of: Regret, The Ring, Eden, Plaza, Truth and Coliseum. As for Capture the Flag: Truth, Fathom Stasis, and Coliseum will all be playable. And lastly, Strongholds will sport: Eden, Empire, The Rig and Plaza.
In addition to the maps and game modes surfacing in the Fall Season for Halo 5: Guardians, the devs also changed up the map weapons and the placements in the stages for better PvP flow.
These maps include Plaza, Coliseum, The Rig and Regret. Some of the changes to the listed maps also allow for weapon mechanics to play out better like grenades bouncing off of walls and under bridges, where as before that was not the case.
Furthermore, the devs released a note (below) to better relay the changes:
“Over the past few weeks, the Multiplayer Team has been reviewing your Fall Preview feedback for both Team Arena and the Halo Championship Series. Based on input from across the internet, information from the Halo Community Feedback Program, discussions with top teams, and more, we’ve landed on the final set of maps, game types, and updated map layouts that will be featured for this season.”
These maps have now been updated in the matchmaking section, as well as Custom Games. As of course, for more details on this information you can head on over to the Halo Waypoint.blog to read up on the changes, which mainly focuses on stages and weapon arrangements.
