Berserk New English Trailer Shows Animated Sequences, Reveals Release Date

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force released a new video of Berserk showing the Band of Hawks. The new English trailer reveals the Western version’s release date, characters and additional cinematic scenes that will be in the game. Berserk is set to come out for PS3, PS4, PS Vita and PC on February 21st in 2017 for North America, and the 24th for Europe.

The official Western release date has finally been revealed. Those looking to play Koei Tecmo and Omega Force’s 3rd-person Musou fighting game, Berserk, can expect to hop in on February 21st for North America, and the 24th over in Europe starting next year.

The latest trailer runs showcases quite a bit of scenes that play through the game, which consist of Griffith, Casca and Guts, among others. As of course, these familiar characters are followed up by animated sequences that will accompany the 3D in-game models.

In addition to the animated sequences, they will equal out to 120 minutes in total length featuring various scenes from Berserk’s lore. Moreover, these shorts will play out like cut-scenes in the game, pleasing those who have progressed to a certain point — like fighting a boss or clearing a stage.

One thing that I do want to mention that sparked my interest during the video is Skull Knight. Seeing him made me very happy, which if this game follows typical Musou standards he should be playable.

Anyways, if you want to check out the new video, which also reveals the full title as “Berserk and the Band of the Hawk” instead of “Working Title”, you can view the two minute long trailer below. The video comes in by Koei Tecmo‘s YouTube channel
