Ubisoft let loose a free demo of the upcoming Just Dance 2017 on the eShop for the Wii U, the PlayStation Store for the PS3 and PS4, as well as the Xbox Store for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Ubisoft unveiled the new iteration of the popular annual dancing game at this year’s E3. Their conferences have been known for being a little wacky and that certainly didn’t change for this past year’s event.
I’m not into the Just Dance games and certainly don’t play them, but I would be lying if I said that the promo videos and teaser trailers weren’t infectious to watch, because they most certainly are. You can check out the psychedelic trailer featuring Psy’s “Daddy”.
They’ve also released videos for other popular songs like The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face”. It’s no where near as theatrical or over the top as the Psy video, but it’s still full of all sorts of over the top colors and enough eye-popping visuals to keep even the most ADHD-laden gamer’s attention.
You can check out the minute long video below.
If the crazy visuals and odd dancer designs have always piqued your interest and you’ve wanted to see how they managed to get them from the dance floor, to the choreography stage, to the green screen and from there into the game, they actually have a pretty cool behind-the-scenes look at the grueling process that the dancers go through from the audition process to the makeup phase to the studio shoot. I must admit that there’s definitely a lot more going into a casual game like Just Dance than I originally gave Ubisoft credit for. Check it out below.
The demo for the respective systems is out now via Xbox Live, PSN and the Nintendo eShop. The game is due to drop for all major gaming platforms supporting motion controls, including using iOS and Android devices as controllers, the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, Wii U and even the Nintendo NX, which is due out next year.
You can grab the demo or wait until the end of October to pick up a copy of Just Dance 2017. For more info be sure to hit up the game’s official website.
