Tinimations and Snow Cannon Games recently announced that the upcoming rhythm-platforming-combat game Klang will release on September 22nd on Steam. The game features EDM music, a vibrant neon color scheme, music from bLiND and fast-paced combat in a crazy rave-inspired world.
Players take on the role of an elite warrior attempting to fight his way to freedom from the evil Soundlord Sonus. Players must utilize rhythm-beats as they hop up platforms, battle enemies and combat bosses throughout multiple levels.
Tom-Ivar Arntzen from Tinimations commented in the press release about the game, stating…
“If you mix an action game, a rhythm game and a dash of euphoria together, you get Klang,”[…]“Klang blends the variety of tasks players must perform in action games with the timing of rhythm games. The result is a super immersive experience where both what you’re doing and the music you’re doing it to matter.”

In a way it reminds me a little bit of Furi meets Savant Ascent with a dash of Riff Racer.
The beat-themed stages and visual effects fused with the tempo-driven combat should definitely give gamers both a visually mesmerizing experience and a very challenging experience.
Jordan Aguirre from BliNd explains in the press release how challenging it was to adapt the music to the platforming and combat in order to create a cohesive and thrilling experience, saying…
For Klang to really work, it had to be highly optimized to fit the music, this is why I went to great lengths to create an original soundtrack that both worked with what players were doing in the game and got them pumped to play.”
The game is only four hours long but there’s also a special Nightcore difficulty that can be unlocked for gamers seeking a more hardy challenge.
