Shadow Warrior 2 Set For Release On PC October 13th

It looks like plans to get Shadow Warrior 2 up and out for PC in September didn’t quite go as planned. Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog have announced that the game will instead launch first on PC starting October 13th and will then follow on home consoles for the PS4 and Xbox One at a later date.

Blues spotted the news along with a brand new trailer entitled with the double entendre “Who Wants Some Wang?” I’m pretty sure Dylan Roof doesn’t want any, but he sure is getting some.

The trailer starts with a trail of mutilated bodies left behind by Lo Wang, while he drags a pink demon full of arrows in it to a spot before firing off yet another arrow at another demon that’s located past a group of his buddies killing, slicing, dicing and taking selfies during an orgy of carnage.

The trailer takes some time to also pimp a pre-order bonus in the form of a Razorback Katana. It’s a katana with a chainsaw attached. The sort of weapon that an Ultramarine would find fitting to use on the battlefield.

Shadow Warrior 2

The gameplay so far hasn’t really “wow’d!” me but it looks solid. If you want a violently safe, and gorily acceptable first-person shooter, Shadow Warrior 2 seems to be that game. It looks like it plays well and has decent graphics, but for as far as I’ve seen it seems to lack the soul of the original.

Other than the new Doom, there aren’t too many newer remakes that have managed to capture the thrill and excitement that gaming contained back in the 1990s.

Anyway, you can look to get your hands on the violent, magical-themed sequel to the reboot of Shadow Warrior starting first on PC on October 13th. For more info, feel free to visit the official website.
