Super Dungeon Bros Release Date Set For November 1st

React Games and Wired Productions recently announced that their “bro-tastic” medieval adventure game, Super Dungeon Bros, has a release date set for home consoles and PC. Gamers can look to get in on the action starting November 1st.

The game sees players in the roles of four heavy metal, rock-and-roll dungeon crawlers, Axl, Lars, Freddie and Ozzie… each of them named after the legends of heavy metal.

Brad Moss, the president of React Games, commented about the upcoming release of the game, stating in the press release…

“Super Dungeon Bros is our first foray into console gaming and it’s been a huge labor of love for our studio,” “We’re really excited to be announcing the release date and very much look forward to seeing our game make it onto retail shelves worldwide. Wired Productions have been a fantastic partner throughout the entire process, and without their support, we wouldn’t have been able to make this happen, roll on November 1st!”

The indie title recently received a new trailer highlighting some of its features, which you can check out below.

Mad props to React Games. The trailer was spot on. It looks like the kind of game that was made to be fun and not in reaction to political statements or to make a political statement. Believe it or not, it’s rare these days that games are actually made to be fun and entertaining. I know, that should be the standard tenet to every game out there, but after academics invaded the industry everyone wants to put philosophy first and fun second.

Anyway, the story for the game is pretty straightforward. The four brothers are summoned to explore the fantasy realm of Rökheim in search of epic loot. The quartet of chord masters must search and uncover the legendary and fabled rock stars of old.

The comedy-based story centered around heavy metal loot-and-grind gameplay is elevated a notch higher thanks to the inclusion of four-player cooperative play that supports both online and offline modes. This means if you and your three siblings want to venture across the three massive worlds present in the game, you can. Alternatively, if you have three friends located the world around, you can team up and do battle via online co-op play.

The game reminds me of a throwback to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with a dash of Gauntlet.

You can look to get in on the action for the Xbox One, PS4 or PC starting November 1st. Need more info? Hit up the official website.
