If you decided to go with the lesser version of Kunos Simulazioni’s Assetto Corsa on PS4 or Xbox One, you currently have an opportunity to make it a better version thanks to some new DLC packs that have arrived. PC gamers get to enjoy the benefits of mods for Kunos’ well-regarded racing sim.
505 Games announced that three DLC car packs are currently available for PS4 and Xbox One owners rocking a copy of the performance racing simulator, Assetoo Corsa. The three packs include the Japanese DLC pack, the Prestige pack, and the Performance pack. Each one carries a slightly different price tag and comes with a different set of cars.
The Performance pack, for instance, is $4.99 on the PS4 and $6.99 on the Xbox One. The Performance pack contains six cars from the Prestige pack and is available for those who pre-ordered Assetto Corsa.
The Japanese pack is free for those who purchased the season pass but the Prestige and Performance packs are not. Confusing, eh? You can snag a look at the Japanese pack in action courtesy of YouTube outlet Playscope Trailers.
The full list of cars available in the Japanese pack were listed in the press release, which you can view below.
· Mazda MX-5 2015
· Mazda MX-5 CUP
· Mazda RX-7 Spirit R + tuned version
· Toyota Supra MK IV + time attack and drift version
· Toyota AE86 Trueno + tuned and drift version
· Nissan 370Z NISMO 2016
· Nissan GT-R R34 Skyline V-Spec
Oh yeah, the GT-R R34 Skyline… that’s my car right there. It brought me many a victory in Forza Motorsport and the Gran Turismo games. Highly tunable, very reliable, very fast, and it’s such a beast of a car. It’s a shame it’s locked behind the DLC paywall for Assetto Corsa.
The Prestige pack is available for $699 while the Japanese pack is available for $4.99. These are the first series of car pack DLCs being made available for console owners of Assetto Corsa. You can pick up the aforementioned packs from the PlayStation Store or the Xbox Store.
