Check Out Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization Gameplay On PS Vita

Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization received some love from Dengeki, where the company posted up over 11 minutes of gameplay of the PS Vita version of SAO showing actual gameplay. The video covers battles, character interaction and exploration. Bandai Namco will release Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization for PS4 and PS Vita on October 27th in Japan, and November 8th across the West.

Aside from the frame-rate issues that are evident in the video below, it seems as if a lot of people really do enjoy Dengeki’s gameplay presentation revealing Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization on the PS Vita. The gameplay that the company posted up on their YouTube channel explores battles, character interaction and exploration.

However, there are some things that we learn about Hollow Realization that pertains to Extra Skills and the NPCs of the game.

Extra Skills:

Extra Skills are skills that are set for one character that can greatly change your play style. Attackers, Tanks, Healer and other important roles will be able to learn unique skill that can help assist in their play style, but there are other higher-rank Extra Skills. As one would expect these skills are more difficult to learn, but you will be able to deal more damage once obtained.

NPCs:

Sword Art: Origin is said to be a death playground for NPCs. Inside the town are both logged in SA:O players and NPCs created by the system. Each character sports their very own personality and traits.

Players logged into SA:O consist of Asuna, Leafa, along with others. If they die out in the field, they will be able to resurrect with “return by death.” Other players can easily identifying them by looking for a green cursor over their head.

AI characters created by the SA:O system can be recruited as party members. Each and every one of the AI characters are unique, and if they die they can not return. These players are indicated by a yellow cursor floating over their head
