Thanks to the publication site Famitsu we learn that the upcoming version of Koei Tecmo and Ruby Party’s latest Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death game will be a visual novel. Noted to be an adventure game, we get to see some screens of Escape from Certain Death ahead of any trailers.
Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death at the moment has no real release date, which I bet will change soon in the coming future. But what is known is that the new entry into the world of Titans will be for the handheld Nintendo 3DS platform.
Moreover, folks who are fans of these kinds of games will be able to experience another spectrum of Attack on Titan. Players will be able to customize their own character and play “original” events that take place before the Female Titan.
The game is said to follow an original protagonist, while the location is set in a “certain old castle.” The player will assume the role as a member of the Survey Corps investigating the dangerous world outside of the wall, and will get caught up in a serious event. Familiar faces are said to join along your dangerous adventure, which your objective is to escape from the old castle alive.
“While investigating the outskirts of a certain old castle, the Survey Corps are caught in a Titan assault. The ground collapses amid the chaos, and the protagonist ends up falling into an underground part of the old castle. Just narrowly escaping death, the protagonist cannot return to the surface as their Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear has broken. The protagonist links up with a single “partner” and attempts to escape the castle underground shrouded in mystery”.
Famitsu has posted up a handful of screenshots showing segments of the upcoming AoT game, which contains three dialogue scenes and an image splash of Levi killing a Titan (main image).
Koei Tecmo and Ruby Party, who usually handles Noe Romance series games, will release their visual novel of Attack on Titan for the Nintendo 3DS. Escape from Certain Death currently has no release date yet, but while we wait for one you can head on over to Famitsu for more info.
