Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization Gains New Screenshots

Bandai Nacom recently posted up some new screenshots for Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization to acknowledge that the game will be available for PS4 and PS Vita on October 27th in Japan, and November 8th for the West. The new screenshots reveals characters like Kizmel and Richter, and much more.

The new screenshots start off with the dark elf character named Kizmel. She protects the woods and stands as a special NPC. She wields a one-handed, curved sword and is noted to always stand up for her friends. You can see Kizmel in the first picture below, along with other characters and scenes.

The second character revealed is Richter, who is shown above in the header image (our your left). Richter is noted to be a mysterious character, and refers to Kirito as the Black Swordsman. As it stands now, the description for Richter reads that “no one knows his real purpose”.

From here we learn more about the combat system and the field quest sprinkled throughout the world map. Additionally, Sword Skills can be linked by performing certain moves and can be shorted/connected by using Sword Connect.

This now leads us to the Field Quest segment. Players will be able to take up special quests called “Event Fragments” that can be activated under specific conditions. Evil Gods can also appear on the world map, which these formidable opponents call for other players to take them down without fewer problems.

By clearing Event Fragments on the map, players can unlock larger-scale Episode Quests. If both Fragments and Episode Quests are completed on the field, players will be granted various rewards.

This now brings us to the last part of the update for Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. The game will gain a free major update later this year entitled “Fighters of the Blue Sky”. This free update will add an additional 20 hours to the base game.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization will drop for PS4 and PS Vita on October 27th in Japan, and on November 8th for the West.
