Sword Art Online: Memory Defrag is set to come to the West for mobile devices like iOS and Android smartphones. As of now, Bandai Namco announced that Memory Defrag will debut in Japan on August 31st, and in the West sometime next year.
The RPG, better known as Sword Art Online: Memory Defrag, is an action 2D side-scroller for mobile devices. As noted by the developers, players will be able to experience the anime story as well as an all-new original storyline that’s specifically made for the game.
Characters like Kirito, Asuna, Lefa and more from the manga and anime series will be playable in Sword Art Online: Memory Defrag. I bet this will please fans of the series seeing how many characters are playable and wield different weapons and abilities.
Memory Defrag also supports multiplayer that lets players join other players to take down massive bosses in the online mode. Like other games that support multiplayer, you will be able to join up with friends and form parties.
As seen in the image above, you can now pre-register the game be heading over to the official website. If 30,000 players pre-register all players will get Asuna-related rewards, her kitchen knife, apron, five memory diamonds, and a Camisole for Asuna. In addition to pre-registering, players will also have the chance of winning the Collector’s Edition of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization.
