A couple of games spanning various genres will be made available throughout November for Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners who have Games With Gold. According to XBLA Fans, gamers can expect to get their hands on classics like Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition.
These aren’t the greatest games from either library of Microsoft’s home consoles, but Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is legit, and I’ll always be thankful for Corridor Digital’s short film that preceded the launch of the game, featuring some awesome action sequences and one of the best sword fights put to film.
Of course, if you’re not into one of the most coolest first-person shooters that came out during last gen, you just might take up a liking with The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition. It will be available between November 1st through November 15th. After that Blood Dragon will be available between November 16th and November 30th, for free.
Both games will also be backwards compatible with the Xbox One, so you can get one of the games on the Xbox 360 and receive it for free on the Xbox One as a backwards compatible title.
As for the Xbox One offerings, they rolled those out in a brief video.
Super Dungeon Bros is the four-player couch co-op title that’s similar to Castle Crashers and other multiplayer games. This title will be free from the start of November to the end of November on the Xbox One. Between November 16th and December 15th gamers will be able to get their hands on Murdered: Soul Suspect for the Xbox One as well, which is one of those mid-budget titles that barely captured the attention of the market when it first released. Having it added to your collection for free won’t lose you a darn thing… except for hard drive space and bandwidth. And if you’re with Comcast that bandwidth likely comes with caps… so yeah, you might be losing quite a bit.
