Batman: The Telltale Series Episode 4 Launches November 22nd

Telltale Games announced that Episode 4 of Batman: The Telltale Series will finally arrive November 22nd via digital distributors and for those who purchased the physical retail copy.

The game will take Bruce to Arkham Asylum, depending on the choices made in the previous episodes. There’s a teaser trailer, introducing gamers to The Joker. You can check it out below.

The name of the episode is called “Guardian of Gotham”. The trailer introduces a lot of potential conflicts for Batman to get absorbed in. The one thing that betrays the trailer a bit is that many of the choices change drastically in the game compared to other Telltale Game titles. For instance, Harvey doesn’t have to become Two-Face, and there are some other distinct choices that can alter what becomes of certain characters and their relationship with Bruce or Batman.

I think the one thing I’m little bummed about is Vicki Vale being the Lady Arkham. It kind of fulfills the trope where you can’t have two good looking, interesting people in media filling the same role, and in this case Catwoman was already giving Bruce bananas for his pockets.

Some of the characterizations are kind of cool, others aren’t quite as compelling. I kind of feel as if Bruce/Batman is portrayed as kind of a chump throughout most of it, but that’s just me. Harvey is definitely the most interesting, though.

We also get to see what they’re going to do with the Joker in the game when Bruce visits Arkham Asylum. They promise that the choices players make in Episode 4 will have some drastic consequences for the season finale.

Anyway, you can look for Episode 4: Guardian of Gotham to go live on November 22nd next week on Tuesday. You can pick it up for the Xbox One, the Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, PC, Mac and for iOS and Android devices. For more info be sure to hit up the official Telltale website.
