Killing Floor 2 Now Available For Download On PS4, PC

Tripwire Interactive announced that Killing Floor 2 has graduated from Early Access and the game is now available for download on the PS4 and PC. The digital versions can be acquired for $29.99, and there’s deluxe edition for $39.99. Tripwire has also worked in collaboration with Deep Silver to offer gamers a retail version of Killing Floor 2 for the PS4 for $39.99.

The game first came onto the scene a few years ago when the developers slowly etched out some content for it through Steam’s Early Access program. They slowly but surely tossed in new playable characters, new maps to explore, additional weapons to acquire, new perks to unlock, and new modes to play.

John Gibson, the president of Tripwire Interactive, commented about the game’s release and the fact that they are supporting the PS4 Pro with the game by stating in the press release…

“We wanted to give existing fans the visceral action that this longstanding franchise is known for, as well as offer new fans a chance to experience the brutal joy that millions of gamers already know and love. Launching KILLING FLOOR 2 for the PC, and for the first time ever on consoles via the PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 4 symbolizes the next step for us at Tripwire Interactive and we could not be more ecstatic.”

They didn’t mention in the press release if the PS4 Pro version of the game would get any 4K treatments or a buff up in visual fidelity, but they did release a launch trailer showcasing the game’s new liquid gore system and visceral gib on display. You can check it out below.

The trailer is pretty upbeat for a game about surviving multiple rounds of flesh-devouring creatures that belong in the nether realm.

Anyway, there’s a good mixture of both realistic and fantasy sci-fi weapons present in the game. As they reveal, you can focus on outfitting your character with stuff like shotguns and assault rifles, or more fantastical weapons like rail guns and pulse rifles.

The AA-12 was one of my favorites, and it’s nice to see it return along with a bunch of other cool weapons. They have a diverse selection of military grade shooters for you to spend some dosh on.

The core of the game is centered around gathering up five other friends and journeying into the depths of gore by battling against the countless hordes of Zed across multiple levels and environment types.

You can grab a digital copy of Killing Floor 2 right now for PC or you can get a physical copy right now for PS4. For more info on the game be sure to hit up the official website.
