Nintendo To Release Super Mario Run December 15th

Mario fans and runners have something to look forward to when Nintendo drops Super Mario Run for mobile devices. As of now the game will be for iOS devices and is said to come later to Android devices sometime “soon”. Super Mario Run is set to debut on December 15th.

Honestly I’m not a big fan of runner games where you tap a few buttons and let the game play itself for you, and although I think that the price point is way too high for Super Mario Run there are others out there who are excited to get their hands on the game when it drops.

If you can’t wait and are curious as to what Super Mario Run has to offer the game will take players on a ride through different stages that are best known from previous titles, and will feature a non-stop running Mario that can be controlled by making him jump on other platforms or on enemies’ heads.

“A new kind of Mario game that you can play with one hand.
In this game, Mario constantly moves forward through the courses while you use a variety of jumps to navigate. Mario will behave differently depending on the timing of your taps, so it’s up to you to show off particularly smooth moves, gather coins, and reach the goal.”

I should note that the game can be downloaded from the App Store for free, and will allow players to experience the game’s three modes. But upon paying a one-time price of $9.99 will grant unlimited access to all three modes in the game. The modes are listed below:

World Tour
Run and jump with style to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser’s clutches! Clear 6 worlds filled with 24 brand-new courses designed for one-handed play!

Toad Rally
Show off Mario’s stylish moves, compete against your friends and challenge people from all over the world.

Kingdom Builder
Gather coins and Toads to build your very own kingdom.

If you can’t wait to play the game, or you don’t like where the game is going, or maybe you are on the fence with Super Mario Run, a new trailer for gamers alike sits below for your viewing pleasure.

Super Mario Run is currently noted by Nintendo to be compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and calls for iOS 8.0 or later. Folks on Android are said to gain a playable version “soon”, but as of now the game is only listed on the App Store. The initial game will launch across 151 countries and regions and will support over 10 different languages.
