Konami recently announced that the free trial edition of Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 has become available for PC, PS3, PS4 and Xbox One gamers. The trial offers gamers free game modes and teams in order to compete in some e-sports ready competitions.
Over on the official Konami website they revealed that while you can’t play quick matches online, and the standard competition mode is off limits, along with the myClub features, editing options and Master League mode, there is a basic training option to hone your skills, as well as the online PES League mode for those who want to test their mettle online against other players. You might even be matched up against other gamers with the full version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2017.
They offer a quick look at the modes and competitions with the trailer below.
Another highlight is that there is an offline exhibition mode as well. So you can play offline with a few teams and in a few stadiums, but you won’t have access to the full leagues or arenas like in the full version of the game.
For whatever reason there’s a lot of negative reviews popping up for the trial edition of Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 over on the Steam page. The reviews currently sits at “Mostyl Negative”, but it’s hard to get a solid reading on why that is. The available negative reviews range from lack of controller support to bad netcode, to poor port options and lack of proper resolution. It’s hard to understand exactly if these are widespread problems or just individual issues. I imagine as more reviews pile in we’ll get a clearer understanding of what’s up.
Anyway, you can grab the Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 Trial Edition for free right now for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One or on Steam for PC.
