Focus Home Interactive just published a new trailer for Games Workshop and Streum on Studio’s Space Hulk: Deathwing that shows 17 minutes of gameplay. The video is a solo take showing the campaign of Space Hulk: Deathwing, a game that’s initially set for release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
The best way to describe Space Hulk: Deathwing is to take Fatshark’s Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide and put the setting in space, replace the Skaven with the Genestealers and make it where you play as a Librarian of the Dark Angels’ 1st Company (which is the Deathwing) instead of the medieval hunters. The basic concept of the game is further explained below.
“Space Hulk: Deathwing is a First-Person Shooter experience based on Games Workshop’s classic Space Hulk boardgame set in the universe of Warhammer 40,000.”
The new solo video reveals 17 minutes of the campaign in Deathwing that fans will be able to experience when playing through said mode. The new video shows a list of features that haven’t been seen before in previous videos for Deathwing, revolving around the team commands, safe locations and much more.
I don’t know why but for some reason the Gothic halls and screaming enemies remind me of Clive Barker’s Undying, I know the two games don’t have much in relation but for some reason I’m getting vibes of it after watching Deathwing. Getting back on track, you can watch the new gameplay video below.
Honestly I’m looking forward to seeing more of Deathwing, the game seems pretty intriguing from the few trailers that are out for this game. I’m not sure how it will be on release and if it will sport good gameplay and streamlined mechanics, but hopefully it delivers the goods when it debuts.
Speaking of debuting Space Hulk: Deathwing is set to come out early next month on December 9th, and will release across PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
