Guardians Of Ember, Action MMORPG Enters Early Access On Steam

After completing a successful IndieGoGo campaign, Runewalker’s Guardians of Ember has entered into Early Access on Steam for $19.99. During the first week of being on sale, you can get the game for 15% off for only $16.99.

The top-down, isometric MMORPG allows you to create a character from one of four different races, as well as take on the role of traditional and experimental classes using the dual-class system, and there’s a randomized dungeon setup featuring millions of collectible items.

Players will be able to craft new gear, build houses, join guilds, engage in story quests, go fishing, or even level-up and dive into some PvP featuring solo-bouts and tag-team fights for up to 10 players.

The launch trailer rolls through some of the gameplay features and locations you’ll be visiting.

The reviews at the moment are mixed, with some people citing glaring technical issues being a major problem with the game, such as enemy AI not properly responding when approached, attacks suffering from input delay, or some graphical bugs that hinder the overall visual aesthetics of the game.

Others are accepting of the fact that there are going to be kinks that need to be worked out, but they feel as if Runewalker is on the right path.

It just recently entered into Early Access, so hopefully some of the more critical reviews pointing out the flaws in the game are addressed pretty quickly by the developers in future updates.

Given that the IndieGoGo went well over what they asked for, they should have the necessary resources to help bring the game up to par rather quickly. Patrick Streppel, CEO of Insel Games, the publisher, commented about the success of the IndieGoGo and how that will play a big role in what new features they also have planned down the road, mentioning in the press release…

“During our IndieGoGo campaign we were surprised by the huge interest”,“We hoped for 10.000 USD for our German localisation, now we were able to collect more than 75.000 which allowed us to implement the Hardcore Mode and our Iron Hero launch event!”

You can check out Guardians of Ember right now by visiting the Steam store page or by checking out the official website. They plan to keep the game in Early Access for anywhere between three to six months.
