Capcom just debuted an extended version of the original trailer that revealed Mega Man X, Ryu, Iron Man and Captain Marvel, but this time with Captain America and Morrigan as playable characters in Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite’s roster. The upcoming game is set to release during the late part of 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Pitting two universes against each other, which collided before in the past, comes an all-new crossover for 2017 entitled Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite. The new fighting game sees iconic Marvel and Capcom characters fighting in “accessible and free-form 2v2 team battles”.
In addition to the upcoming collision, we recently got to see Mega Man X, Ryu, Iron Man and Captain Marvel battling it out in a trailer that was revealed during the PlayStation Experience 2016 event. Following that, Capcom took a step further this time around to reveal two more familiar fighters in the Marvel and Capcom universe, Captain America and Morrigan.
Capcom debuted the extended gameplay trailer for the fighting game during a section of Capcom Cup 2016 on ESPN2 showing the two new entries as playable characters.
Furthermore, folks will be able to participate in a typical Arcade and Training mode along with a Mission mode for extra flare. Accompanying said modes is an “immersive cinematic Story mode” that will put players at the center of both universes as the two sides battle for supremacy against powerful entities and new villains.
But, enough of me talking about the features and on with the extended trailer that reveals Captain America and Morrigan.
Those who like to compete online will find that the Online mode offers ranked and casual matches, global leaderboards and an online lobby with spectator mode.
Lastly, if you want an extra punch during your fights the Infinity Stones (from the Marvel universe) will help influence the outcome of a battle. Each stone will customize characters with unique abilities and powerful game-changing effects that can quickly turn the tide of any battle.
