Rime For Nintendo Switch Shows Up On Brazilian Ratings Board

Tequila Work’s 3D adventure game, Rime, came onto the scene back in 2013 as a supposed PS4 exclusive. The game, however, kept on disappearing from the spotlight over the years until it recently resurfaced with new publishers and possibly new platforms that it’s appearing on.

As reported by Nintendo Wire, Rime showed up on the Ministry of Justice’s video game ratings board in Brazil. The website listing has currently been removed, but an archive shows that Rime is being listed for the Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch.

It’s an interesting turn of events for the indie game because it had been under the radar for so long when the rights belonged exclusively to Sony. Thanks to Tequila Works buying back the rights from under Sony they managed to find some new publishers and potentially get their game up and out for more than just the PS4.

Rime is a gorgeous looking game that seems to be a mix between Papo & Yayo, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. If you forgot what the game looked like there’s a trailer below.

If they manage to get the game finished before March, 2017, this would make for a perfect launch title for the Nintendo Switch. It would also compliment the system’s variety in games available at launch, allowing players to partake in the puzzle-style adventures of Rime as well as experience the adventures, combat and puzzles of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Or heck, if the rumors are true that Breath of the Wild is delayed some bit, it could mean that Rime would end up being a nice stand-in for the first-party title.

Either way, it appears as if the game will be multiplatform and will no longer be exclusive to the PS4. This is definitely good news for gamers who don’t own a PS4.
