Square Enix has released a nice amount of screenshots showing the differences between Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time on the PS4 and the Nintendo 3DS. The graphical differences along with perspective changes between the two platforms are very obvious, and can be seen in the screenshots that the developer/publisher released.
As noted above, Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time is set to release across PS4 and 3DS. While we wait for the release date for said game, which is set to debut sometime next year, Square Enix posted up a nice amount of images showing the PS4 and 3DS versions of the game for folks to look over.
The devs also provided information that we already know that was released not too long ago, when detailing about Dragon Quest XI and the characters and world that will be present on release.
Moreover, Square Enix also published this text for fans to look over, which the text goes over visual differences between the two platforms and how the story will be the same in both versions.
“Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time is the long-awaited latest entry in the Dragon Quest series. It will be released on multiple platforms, PlayStation 4 and 3DS. Whether you play the PlayStation 4 version, which depicts a beautiful world as far as the eye can see, or the 3DS version, with its warm graphics, the story you will experience does not change.”
With that said the newly posted screenshots showing the two versions can be seen revealing the Protagonist, Camus, Emma, the world of Lotozetasia, the Great Tree of Life, Ishi Village, and of course the PS4 and 3DS versions.
If Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time looks like something worth playing, the game is set to drop for said platforms sometime in 2017.
