Yonder, Adventure Game Seeks Votes On Steam Greenlight

A new game by indie devs Prideful Sloth has come onto the scene. The devs seek to get their project Yonder through Steam Greenlight. The open-world adventure game is due out for PS4 and PC during the early part of 2017, and currently seeks votes to get on Steam.

Former members of Activision and Rocksteady Studios formed a small group to make an open-world adventure game that goes by the name of Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles. The devs plan on debuting the game at PlayStation Experience 2016 in Anaheim, California this weekend, but to get ahead of the event the devs posted their work on Steam Greenlight in hopes of getting through the voting segment.

In all honesty the environments don’t look bad, but the main character’s model doesn’t look so great. The overall premise is quite nice and promising, however the video doesn’t show any gameplay or what folks can lookout for gameplay wise, especially for it to be a Greenlight trailer that demands for in-game footage of what gamers should expect from the title.

Anyways, the devs explain that each location in the game will sport polarized segments or opposites that are amplified by the changing of seasons and the day and night system. Various places like mountains, deserts and snowy places will also play a pivotal role in exploring, which sounds interesting on the surface, but I wonder in practice how all of this stuff will be executed?

Moreover, the hero that players will assume has to uncover the island’s secrets and mysteries, and embark on a great journey of self-discovery while saving Gemea and its people with the help of ethereal Sprites. Additionally, Gemea was once a paradise until an evil Murkhas enshrouded the land and its people in dark despair, which leads back to you doing the heroic stuff.

Features that are said to be in Yonder include farming, crafting, cooking, fishing, brewing, collecting resources and farming. For more information on Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles you can hit up Steam Greenlight.
