Pop singer Ariana Grande ended up meeting with Square Enix to become an in-game character in their mobile JRPG, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. Her character’s name is DW and it’s a character with a cat-eared helmet, long hair and a skirt.
Gamespot spotted the news from a post over on Ariana Grande’s Instagram account. I don’t know what writer Eddie Makuch was doing scouting out Ariana’s Instagram account, but hey… maybe the man is a fan of pop music. I don’t know. I don’t judge.
The tiny pop singer posted up a comment attached to the photo of her sitting around a table with a bunch of executives. She wrote…
“pretty lil thing holds her own in a room of men in suits ♡ I’m SO so excited to finally share that I’ll be featured in FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS *crying* ♡
check out my character in the game, it’s the cutest thing i’ve ever seen in my entire life and i’m so excited and in love with it i cannot contain myself.”
That’s how those kids on Instagram type these days. It’s like a dialect all its own.
Anyway, she also posted up an accompanying short clip of the character featured within Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. You can check out the video below.
The costume is based on an outfit she wore previously, sporting heels, a bunny helmet, tail and leotard. It’s not hard to see why the executives at Square Enix got googly eyed when they saw the young pop singer in the outfit given the country’s penchant for liking bunny outfits on young girls.
Anyway, Final Fantasy Brave Exvius has been out since October 22nd, 2015. It’s a game you can easily miss because it’s a free-to-play mobile title. It’s had millions of downloads and I’m sure once Ariana Grande’s character launches they’ll gain millions of more downloads.
The game is oftentimes labeled as being a free-to-play mix of Final Fantasy Tactics with the old Final Fantasy VI graphics and Espers.
You can download the game risk-free from over on the iTunes app store or from the Google Play shop. They didn’t give a time stamp on when you can expect to Ariana Grande’s character in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius but I’m sure you’ll see it plastered all across social media.
