Gravity Rush Video Summarizes Story In Preparation For Gravity Rush 2

There are a ton of games set to drop at the end of January and throughout March. A lot of gamers will likely and very quickly get overwhelmed with some of the big, hard-landing heavy-hitters. Well, for some gamers who may have been interested in a game like Gravity Rush 2 but then felt disinterested because they didn’t play the first game, don’t worry about it because there’s a video summary to help you out.

YouTube outlet Suggestive Gaming put together a very quick four minute video offering gamers a quick summary and overview of the story from the original Gravity Rush in preparation for the launch of Gravity Rush 2, which is set to launch on January 20th at the end of the week. You can check out the video below.

So a quick recap is that Kat ends up in the floating city of Hekseville. She has no memory of her past (typically). She meets up with a black cat who gives her gravity-defying abilities. She learns from a cop that shadowy monsters named Nevi are terrorizing the town. Kat proceeds to open a can of whoop-butt like she’s Stone Cold Steve Austin from 1999.

The plot, from there, is a heck of a lot more complicated than what you might have originally thought. Kat goes through a variety of trials and challenges in order to save Hekseville from certain authoritarians, the Nevi monsters and giant bosses. She manages to save a school bus full of kids, turn her arch rival into an alley and travel through a dream state thanks to a magic kid.

Gravity Rush wasn’t much of my jam, but I really like the soundtrack to Gravity Rush 2, and SIE Japan seems to have put a lot of effort into making a truly unique and fun looking game; a rarity amongst the dredge of today’s market.

According to a post on Reddit, Gravity Rush 2 pre-loading has opened up for some gamers and the total file size clocks in at 17.1GB. It’s moderately large enough to put a dent in your hard drive space, but not so big that your ISP will be shaking their fist at you and pointing to the bandwidth overage meter.

You can look for Gravity Rush 2 and the original soundtrack to become available starting January 20th at the end of the week, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
