Koei Tecmo posted a new trailer revealing a cutscene containing the protagonist from Nioh, William Adams encountering a Kunoichi. The third-person hack-and-slash game Nioh, by Team Ninja, is shaping up nicely and is set to release next month on February 9th worldwide for PS4.
The cutscene that Koei Tecmo released was actually in another video showing various enemies and characters. Part of the video actually appeared in the Tokyo Game Show 2016 trailer, and featured English subtitles.
The video arrived just ahead of an event at the 2016 PlayStation Press Conference in Japan and revealed the game’s worldwide release, which as of now still stands to be February 9th (which releases earlier in North America and Europe).
Honestly, I’m really looking forward to this game. It mixes both skill and stats together in a way that makes the player pay attention to the enemy or enemies at hand, as well as utilizing the environment to your advantage to get away from devastating attacks.
Seeing that the game brings Dark Souls-like brutality to the table and is only a month away from release, I can’t wait to see what the full version has in store for fans waiting to get their hands on the game.
Speaking of the game, the trailer mentioned earlier can be seen below. Not running long, and lasting around one minute and seven seconds in length, the video trailer is up for you to watch thanks to Koei Tecmo‘s channel.
In case you were wondering, the scene depicts the protagonist William Adams encountering a Kunoichi; the scene itself was shown in other videos but in brief segments not too long ago. Here we get to see the scene in full.
Lastly, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja’s upcoming hack-and-slash game, Nioh, is set to release next month. Additionally the game is slated to launch in North America on February 7th, in Europe on February 8th, and in Japan on February 9th for PS4.
