Umix Studios and Cyanide released Pro Basketball Manager 2017 onto Steam recently. The PC sports simulator features a number of new updates following on the Pro Basketball Manager 2016 release.
They mention that the roster has been tweaked with the 2016/2017 players from 70 different competitions and a pool of more than 20,000 players from around the world.
They’ve added new end-of-day simulation reports, along with more detailed messages from staff and the commission, improved information for record keeping, and more realistic recruiting.
They overhauled the AI, as well as renovated the scout reports and player notations, offering detailed and comprehensive breakdowns of the pros and cons of each player.
They additionally improved the graphics from 2D to 3D, adding a much higher level of on-the-court details to give players a greater sense of immersion.
One of the more significant updates has been the Steam Workshop integration for improved and detailed mod support. This will allow gamers to update rosters, alter various stats and generally rework and tweak various aspects of Pro Basketball Manager 2017.
Despite all these upgrades for the $19.99 managerial sim, the early reviews haven’t been too kind. Some of the issues center around reports about latency issues and performance. There are only a few reviews in at the moment so it will take time before it peters out and we get a good solid average score.

The mod creation process actually isn’t all that bad. I mean, it’s a heck of a lot easier than the modeling, mesh editing, model data implementation and rigging required to make a mod for Garry’s Mod.
