VThree, Racing Parkour Game Coming To Steam On Feb 28th

The popular game A Story About My Uncle has players jumping around strange locations and using a grappling hook to reach platforms that are out of reach. Similar in concept comes a game by 2XMilk that passed the Greenlight segment named VThree. The PC racing parkour game is set to launch on February 28th for Steam Early Access.

It’s safe to say that this game is very indie, however, at the same time, if beat-the-clock games are your thing then I think that VThree may have some gameplay elements that you’ll enjoy.

Seeing how the game passed through Greenlight it has some peoples’ interest and has a following that allowed the devs to get as far with the game to make VThree into what it is now.

This brings us to the vector style design that has a minimalistic aesthetic that may be pleasing to some and an eyesore to others. However you like your games to look, if parkour jumping is something you adore I think this game is something to keep your eyes on, especially if the devs polish it up more when it releases.

Both the official description and Alpha trailer sit below, with the former covering the basics while the latter shows an early build of the game — although it baffles me why the devs didn’t release a new trailer? But anyways…

“VThree is the rocket jumping, gravity field floating, fast paced first person platformer you didn’t know you needed. Combining the best of DeFRaG and 3d platforming plumbers, VThree is as rewarding as it is insanely difficult.”

A very simple game at heart, but a tricky game to master in practice. Again, if you are a fan of games like SEUM and A Story About My Uncle then this could be a game worth checking out. However, unlike the named games, VThree encourages players to try to escape the dome and explore other sections of the stage to shave off precious seconds, so if you like to race without restrictions VThree’s got you covered.

To find out more regarding this indie game you can hit up Steam Early Access or vthree.xyz.com, which the main site contains a link to help shape and test the game through an early playable build.
