Fallout 4 Mods Overhaul Lighting And Add New Settlement

After Bethesda allowed gamers to mod Fallout 4 a list of mods have been pouring out ever since, especially from NexusMods. Recently, modders took to the mod scene and brought forth two mods that overhaul the lighting in the post-apocalyptic RPG shooter and a new settlement, which the game itself is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

The latest mod that’s for Fallout 4 on this list is by Anamorfus. The mod changes the whole spectrum of lighting and how shadows appear in-game, making every place look different from the vanilla version.

Enhanced Light and FX (the mod) seeks to create a more atmospheric world with dynamic lighting. Overhauling the interior lights, effects, and ambient light, the mod makes an obvious difference compared to the original version.

The mod changes light sources and adds more godrays, shadows, and dark interior lights. This is said to have little to no impact on your frame-rate performance, so you should be able to play the mod without loosing any frames.

You can look over the images that compare the original version to the modded light version below.

The next mod changes the “Drive In” to a multi-tier settlement with different lighting and a new look. The main building now contains more floors with several rooms for rent, a big diner, a basement with two levels, a roof with solar power source that also serves as a guard tower.

For the settlers the majority of their accommodations are in the trailer homes parked around the settlement that contain 21 assignable beds. There is also a separate area where vendors can setup shop and have their very own homes behind their stores.

Other stuff like bathes and toilets can be found throughout, along with the Screen that is now a guard tower. Power sources are wired just like other mods from PYLON/Conduit to the power source, which means once connected all you have to do is exit the workshop and activate the power source and everything should work accordingly.

You can get this mod by Greekrage by hitting up NexusMods.
