Ubisoft just updated their main blog to reflect that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands‘ Open Beta will go live on February 23rd. One week away from now, the Open Beta will debut across PS4, Xbox One and PC.
If you are a bit skeptical of Ghost Recon: Wildlands or if you are excited to play the game, Ubisoft will host an Open Beta for gamers to play starting next week and will end on February 27th. This information comes from blog.ubi.com, as seen below.
“If you didn’t get a chance to participate in the Ghost Recon Wildlands Closed Beta, we’ve got some good news! The Ghost Recon Wildlands Open Beta starts February 23 (with preloading available February 21), giving you an opportunity to squad up with the Ghosts and get a preview of what it will be like to take on the Santa Blanca drug cartel on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.”
In addition to the Open Beta, much like the Closed Beta, much of the content will stay the same but there will be a few new additions as well. The new event will host new provinces to partake in that contain heavily defended strongholds where the Santa Blanca trains some of its members, Montuyoc.
To put more emphasis on this upcoming session the devs posted up a new video showing teamwork, different locations, stealth kills, vehicles and other close quarters stuff. You can watch the new trailer here, which runs close to one minute and 30 seconds.
Rewarding players who helped participate in the Closed Beta, the Open Beta, too, will grant players access to special content on the same account before March 31st. This new content will only be given to those who played either of the Betas, but will only manifest in the retail version. This means that you will gain access to the special “Unidad Conspiracy” event, which includes three new missions.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands is set to launch on March 7th for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The full blog post that Ubisoft posted can be read by hitting up blog.ubi.com.
