Aksys Games and Arc System Works updated Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 main site to reflect the fighting game’s Western release window, for which the details are still shrouded in mystery, but according to the devs it will be heading to PS3 and PS4 sometime in 2017.

Guilty Gear fans who enjoy Xrd Revelator can finally rejoice in that Aksys Games will be bringing one of the latest editions of the GG series to the West sometime this year. The game will launch digitally across PS3 and PS4 when its due date rolls around, while a physical release is only planned for the PS4.

Although one could say that this news coming from Aksys Games is a bit redundant seeing how it will be an entry in EVO this year, but for those who haven’t been keeping up with EVO and aren’t always in the know regarding release dates will at least now have an official confirmation as to when the Western version will release — which is set for 2017.

Looking over to Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 and its features the title will include all of the DLCs released in the prior game (Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator) as well as new moves, story-events and characters.

In addition to story-events added to the game, expanded story and arcade modes shed light on characters such as Jam, Raven, Kum, Dizzy, Baiken and Answer, which means that there will be new stuff to discover with new and older characters alike.

Fans looking forward to a Western PC release date will find that that version too does not have an official date, and is up in the air as of this moment.
