Bandai Namco has intentions on making Gundam Versus better by taking player feedback and using exclusive sessions to do so, and as of recent the developer finally announced that the Closed Beta for Gundam Versus‘ applications are now live for folks to download on PS4.
There is good and bad news for those who are looking forward to testing or playing Bandai Namco’s upcoming mecha fighting game. The good news is that Gundam Versus will be playable through a Closed Beta test, the bad news is that it’s only for those in specific locations.
Yes, the game will be playable for those in designated locations. But if you want to play or participate in the Closed Beta and get the application it will only be available to those who live in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea. This will all go down in March, with sign-ups only available through the PS Store in Japan.
Although sign-ups aren’t yet available through the PS Store outside of Japan, it does mean that the Closed Beta applications for Gundam Versus are now up for grabs through the JP PS Store.
Moreover, all applications will be taken and looked over until February 28th, which means that you will need a PS Plus subscription to get in. Something else that’s worth mentioning is that those who’ve downloaded the application will not actually gain instant access, but will get their name in the drawing to enter and help participate in the Closed Beta.
Bandai Namco will draw names by lottery from those who have the application and will send out e-mails to those who are chosen to participate by March 9th. On that same day folks will be able to start the download process so that they can play the next day — when one of the Closed Beta sessions go live.
The Beta will sport three parts. The first part will start on March 10th, the second part on March 18th, while the third part will start on March 19th, with each and every single one of the three lasting from 19:00 to 22:00 JST. Gundam Versus will be for PS4 and currently has no release date.
