Rising Storm 2: Vietnam Closed Beta Gameplay Reveals Improvements

Tripwire Interactive and Antimatter Games’ Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is shaping up nicely, and to reflect on the latest changes the devs went and put up a closed beta wave 4, which has recently ended. However, gameplay footage emerged from the closed beta and reveals lots of improvements. Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is set to come out in the early part of 2017.

Making an appearance in the latest Closed Beta — that stands as the forth wave for Rising Storm 2: Vietnam — is Hill 937. The first appearance of this new territory will see the U.S. leading an attack up a hill that is heavily defended. The map will feature vehicles, mainly helicopters for aerial support, and will be in the final release of the game.

A returning map named An Lao Valley also faced improvements in the Closed Beta, sporting enhanced visuals and miscellaneous improvements for better gameplay.

Many other graphical and visual improvements have already been implemented into the game when the Closed Beta released, while other new improvements will come later down the line through player feedback and by the developers testing the game.

You can check out two videos showing recent gameplay of Rising Storm 2: Vietnam. The first video by The Shermanator shows a conquest-like mission that sees players capturing bases and fighting each other in a CQB style skirmish map. The second video by sevRAWR187 has a montage of clips showing helicopter take-downs for you to look over.

To be honest, I thought that the game would have been a bit more unpolished. But to my surprise, Rising Storm 2 is looking quite nice as of its Closed Beta sessions posted up.
