Final Fantasy XV was probably one of the most hyped up JRPGs this decade, probably for the fact that it was literally delayed for close to ten whole years.
Due to all the hype and delays, players were really looking forward to this game being breathtaking. And although it knocked the socks off for some people, there were others that felt a bit underwhelmed by the end of the game. As a result, Square Enix decided to rework certain chapters and add in more content to satiate the disappointed fans, by adding in some additional DLC content and storylines.
The new update drops on today on March 28th and brings us episode Gladiolus, where you see the events take place from Gladiolus’ perspective after Noctis runs away to deal with the crystal near the end of the game. However, due to time zones and the fact that Japan is on the opposite side of the world, it looks like the update is out RIGHT NOW!
The new update doesn’t just bring the story content though, it also brings updated abilities and additional content as well, such as flying Chocobos! Well, they don’t really fly, it’s more like vigorous jumping and gliding. Take a look at the below trailer that showcases some of the new content for the new March 2017 update for Final Fantasy XV.
The new update is a whopping 5.6GB, so if you haven’t started already, you might want to start that download because it’ll take awhile. For those of you that are interested, here are the patch notes for the new Version 1.06 and 1.07 update:

Square is gearing up for more new content in the near future, as the next trailer showcases Episode Prompto, showing our gun-wielding hero as he slowly walks through a desert environment and approaches a figure lying on the ground. It’s hard to make out the shape of the person because it’s just a black blop in the sand, but it looks an awful lot like Noctis lying there. But Prompto wouldn’t shoot his best friend, would he?
I guess we’ll have to wait and find out because the trailer shows Prompto over dramatically raising his gun as he bursts into tears before the trailer clicks off and fades to the episode title. Take a look at the teaser clip linked below from YouTuber RajmanGaming HD channel.
There is still no word on when the new Prompto episode will launch, so keep an eye out for additional details and announcements.
