A new trailer has recently launched for Injustice 2 featuring some of the additional playable characters in the game. This was attached to more of the story-oriented segments involving the rift between Batman and Superman.
The trailer covers Superman’s resurgence in the multi-verse to take back control of Earth with his authoritarian, SJW-style approach to fighting crime, where-as Batman puts together a task force to thwart Superman’s efforts.
During these story segments, we see Flash and Reverse Flash fighting, as well as a quick blink-and-you-missed it cameo from Captain Cold, along with ample displays of power from Green Lantern and some barely-there shots of Green Arrow. Check it out below.
The trailer seems a lot less threatening than how Superman was portrayed in the first part of the trailer series, where he seemed to be recruiting members for his own regime once more. He made a very blatant threat to Kara, which should prove to be an interesting turn of events.
I just really, really hope they keep the characters honest and display them in the story the way they should be displayed. If they’re going with an evil Superman (and as much as I hate to see Supes being evil) they should at least keep the story arc honest, or at least I’m hoping for as much.
So far the trailers make it look like it might be as good as Flashpoint Paradox, even though that’s still probably one of the best, if not the best DC film to come out in a long time. I loved that arc between Wonder Woman and Aquaman… and they made Aquaman so badass in that, it was so awesome.
Anyway, in addition to unveiling the additional heroes and villains in the trailer, creative director Ed Boon also revealed on Twitter that they’ll be announcing yet another new character on Monday on Austin Creed’s UpUpDownDown.
Just saw the next Injustice 2 character reveal video & segment that airs Monday on @UpUpDwnDwn YouTube channel. You’re gonna love it!

I wonder who could be next? They’ve pulled out a lot of obscure fan-favorites so your guess is as good as mine.
Also, I’m really hoping that we get a much better Aquaman skin because the default Aquaman looks terrible. Hopefully we’ll get a Jason Momoa skin. And they better not make us pay extra for it as DLC because they know many of us would be too weak to hold out.
Anyway, Injustice 2 is due for release on May 16th for the PS4 and Xbox One.
