Dying Game Battleborn Updated With A Borderlands 3 Hint

You know that lousy cuck named Vandal Pitchfork, right? The guy behind Aliens Colonial Marines and that failed thing named Battleborn? Well, he got together with Gearbox to seed an update to the latter game. The update gives a hint to what will be in Borderlands 3 and where players will be headed off to in the game.

Give gamers a hard Easter egg like in Battlefield 1 and the secret code that provides the dogtag “A Beginning” and be sure that it will be cracked in no time. Well, the same thing happened with Battleborn, the game that was in development and announced before Blizzard’s Overwatch and still managed to be called an Overwatch clone — which is funny and embarrassing on Gearbox’s end.

Anyways, I’m sure a lot of gamers aren’t going to even bother playing the game and search for the update code, so instead I’ll save you some time thanks to Reddit users BattlePeanut and the decoder Whatsmynameagain, who translated the Morse code for you to read over.

“VISIT PROMETEA, CHILDREN OF THE VAULT. WE ARE NOT ON PANDORA ANYMORE. TANNIS IS NOT WHAT SHE SEEMS. DO NOT OPEN THE VAULTS.”

The new side missions through the recent update led players to these strange anomalies that let off beeps, which makes a pattern that reads the above when translated.

Borderlands fans will know of the planet Pandora, the character Patricia Tannis and of course the vaults — hence Vault Hunters. Looking further into the decoded message, players will no longer be on Pandora but will visit a place called Prometea where the children of the vault will be headed off to. I guess this links into the stuff Pitchfork was talking about at GDC 2017 regarding Pandora and physics.

“If we, for example, were to explore different planets. There might be different physics, and the sun and the moons might be in different positions than we’re used to on Pandora.”

In addition to the aforesaid, the character who has been active in all Borderlands games, Patricia Tannis, is noted to be acting strange and “is not what she seems.” So it seems like there will be some stuff to figure out regarding the character when the game rolls around.

Last year Pitchfork announced during PAX East that a new Borderlands game was in development, although back then and during the GDC 2017 event he never referred to the former or the latter as Borderlands 3. But for now, we’ll just call it Borderlands 3 until the conductor of cuckhood and the rest of Gearbox drop more information on said matter.

If you are brave enough to endure the headache inducing game, Battleborn is out now for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
