Announced back in November, Machine Zone noted that Final Fantasy XV would receive a mobile game called “A New Empire” that would allow folks to be the hero of their own FFXV adventure. The game is available now in New Zealand, and will more than likely gain a Western release date soon.
No, this is not an April Fool’s joke as many believe it to be. According to Epic Action, a subsidiary of Machine Zone, and its website showing Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire, the game runs the typical Game of War or familiar mobile strategy game setup that allows fans to explore FFXV on their handsets.
This information derives from Gematsu who posted up the above info detailing the mobile game and what fans can expect from the title, which is out now on the New Zealand App Store, but currently not worldwide.
Both the official descriptions detailing the game sit below.
“Be the hero of your own Final Fantasy XV adventure in the brand new mobile strategy game Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire! Build your own kingdom, discover powerful magic, and dominate the realm alongside all of your friends!”
“Do you have the courage to fulfill your destiny? Journey through vast kingdoms, gather magical resources, and build the strongest Empire in Final Fantasy history!”
No gameplay footage is up for you to see just yet, but there are some screenshots from the official website that show familiar faces from the PS4 and Xbox One RPG title, Final Fantasy XV, that sit on the main site.
Speaking of familiar faces, characters like Noctis, Cindy, Prompto, Lunafreya and Gladiolus, will be playable. While playing as your favorite characters you will be able to battle other players or enemy AI units in real-time to strengthen your own army.
No Western release date has been set yet, besides the playable New Zealand version, but the game will be for mobile devices. For more info on this game you can hit up epicaction-online.com.
