Friday The 13th: The Game was originally Kickstarted back in 2015, and the team at Illfonic have been working on the title ever since. Surprisingly, they managed to get the game finished within the span of just two years.
You can check out the new trailer below.
The trailer starts with a an old retro intro and then switches over to a 60fps, FHD look at the Crystal Lake killer stalking and hunting some camp counselors at a cabin.
The trailer doesn’t focus on the cinematics for long. It ends up showing actual gameplay where Jason stalks his prey, busts down lots of doors, destroys cars, impales teenagers, and even switches costumes in order to wear something fitting for the occasion.
The trailer is surprisingly well done, and unlike a lot of AAA titles they show you exactly what the game is about. They don’t say if the single-player portion will be available, but previous reports indicating that the single-player campaign would be added in at a later date.
This game is likely going to kill off a lot of the player base for Dead by Daylight and White Noise 2, so definitely get in your play time while the servers are still full in those games.
