Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time fans have something to look forward to in that Square Enix released an update showing off the game’s skills, spells and other features. DQXI is set to launch in Japan for PS4 and 3DS on July 29th, while a release date for the Western version is still up in the air.

Looking over to the meat of the info, the skill panel is said to be comprised of each party member’s skills arranged as panels. Upon distributing the Skill Points you obtained through leveling and other means, you can earn special skills and increase your stats. It is also said that you can choose which skills you want to learn and develop your characters to your liking.
Moreover, you can develop your character in various ways and try out an array of actions or you can choose to focus on developing your character in one specific way to learn powerful special skills at an early stage.
There is a spell or feature named the “Spell of Restoration” that lets you continue your adventure from the same place in the story by entering in a code via the adventure log menu. Since you can log the hero’s name and roughly how far you’ve traveled in the story on a different platform — your level, money and items will be replaced with those prepared beforehand based on your progress in the story.

Square Enix upcoming Dragon Quest game is set to release for PS4 and the 3DS on July 29th in Japan. The Nintendo Switch is also scheduled to receive a copy of the title as well. As for a Western release… there has been no word as to when it will debut.
