Nintendo unleashed a new Nintendo Direct for ARMS, detailing more of the game’s modes, characters and features, including the highly curvaceous Twintelle.
The game features multiple game modes, including a volleyball mode, a basketball mode, a one-on-one versus mode, and a two-on-two team mode. There are also mini-game style modes such as skillshot and 1 vs 100. You can check out the Nintendo Direct below to scope out all the content they covered in the 22 minute Direct.
During the Nintendo Direct, they talked up a lot of the different features and abilities of the cast of characters in the game. They also explained the physics of the game… there are three different types of arm weight classes, including light, medium and heavy. Heavy arms are powerful but slow, medium arms are… medium, and light arms are fast but not very powerful.
One of the cool parts about it is that arms of the same weight class can cancel out each others’ attacks. Light arms, however, will be susceptible to being blocked from medium or heavy attacks. The benefit of the light arms is that you can throw out more attacks compared to medium or heavy attacks, so there’s a give and take element to the three weight classes.
The video also revealed that each of the characters will also have three special customizable arms that they can equip. Different characters will also have different status effects that can be utilized with the various arms. There are a total of seven different status effects, each one working well against the other, forcing players to have to strategically and tactically pick and choose which arms to use against which opponents.
Speaking of new opponents, they talked up some of the characters already outlined in previous ARMS videos. However, one of the new characters added to the roster is Twintelle, a curvy new fighter who can use her hair to beat the crap out of opponents. As you can tell from the image of Twintelle, she’s got all the right curves in all the right places. Nintendo went real thicc with that one.
