Standing as the third video in the Shenmue 3 developer report video series comes two pieces of information. The first being that new characters have been revealed and the second stands to be that the devs over the upcoming game, YS Net, will not make an appearance at this year’s E3. Shenmue 3 is scheduled to release sometime in the future for PC and PS4.
Starting things off as a reminder for those who don’t know all that much about Shenmue 3, the game will continue the story to the previous title that released many years ago. The game successfully passed its goal on the funding platform, better known as Kickstarter, and now faces a new stage of challenges, development.
During the stage of development the devs drop bite-sized information every month to keep fans spirit high and to acknowledge how far along development Shenmue 3 has come along. Below is no exception to YS Net’s game plan, which reads:
“In this month’s update we present to you our third development report! Who’s this new face…? Please check it out!”
The introductory to the third developer report wants fans and gamers alike to figure out who this new face is and what importance does this new face have to the overall story of Shenmue 3? Well, you can play detective and watch the latest video by Shenmue Dojo, as seen below.
This now leads to the next part of the story, whether you’re still playing detective or not, will YS Net show to any upcoming big events; particularly E3? The answer to that question lies below.
“We have also been receiving questions from our backers regarding our plans to participate in upcoming game shows. While our schedule has yet to be finalized, we will be devoting June to game development and as a result, will unfortunately not be participating in any game shows. On the other hand, we look forward to bringing you our monthly updates and hope you do too!”
The devs will not show up at the upcoming Summer game convention this time around. Lastly, and before concluding, this move does not rule out other events on the horizon, it just simply means that the devs want to polish up the game where necessary. Anyway, we’ll hear more about the game every month as the devs prepare to release Shenmue 3 for PC and PS4.
