Bungie Details Destiny 2 Rewards For Veterans Who Played Destiny 1

A lot of people who’ve played the original Destiny were concered when Destiny 2 rolled up and announced that all veteran gear and loot would be lost, which doubled as a welcome sign for newcomers looking to play Destiny 2. Now that Destiny 1 veterans feel like their previous efforts were in vein, Bungie has briefly commented on what Year One and veteran players of Destiny 1 will receive when playing Destiny 2.

Catching wind from publication site GameRant, Destiny 2 developer Bungie has opened the door of rewards (a little bit) to detail what veteran players will receive for their past efforts when Destiny 2 becomes playable on September 6th, 2017.

The plans on rewarding veteran players in the upcoming sequel are not provided in full scope, which means that there is still room for more veteran rewards, but as it stands now folks from the first game who went head on with some of the most difficult challenges will be rewarded with visuals.

As some fans have expected, players of Destiny 1 will be rewarded with emblems for participating and completing specific objectives during the game’s first three years. For each objective completed Destiny 2 players will be reward with an emblem, which totals out to be seven at the moment.

In addition to the above, if a player completes any node in the Moments of Triumph from year 1 that player will receive an emblem and an additional emblem for completing all 10 moments of Triumph (the two seen below out of the four). The same concept applies for Year 2’s Moments of Triumph, which stands to be the latter two emblems as seen below.

For the Age of Triumph, the devs will reward two emblems that can be obtained by reaching rank 2 in the book and one for reaching rank 7. The latter or third emblem seen below can be obtained by reaching 5,000 Grimoire Score in Destiny 1.

Quite a bit of fans seemed disappointed in Bungie’s recognition of Destiny 1 players transcending into Destiny 2 and the rewards they will be receiving, but the full picture hasn’t been revealed yet, so veteran players might have something big in store as time progresses.

Destiny 2 is set to debut across PS4 and Xbox One on September 6th, 2017. The PC release is currently set for October 24th. As for the original game that started it all, Destiny 1 is currently available to play on PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One.
