Dragon Quest XI Gains New Video Showing Horse Riding And More

A new video has surfaced showing actual gameplay of both the Nintendo 3DS and PS4 version of Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time. The new video was once live streamed as part of the game going gold and was held in Nagoya, which means Dragon Quest XI development is done and is ready for mass production. Dragon Quest XI is set to come out in Japan on July 29th for the Nintendo 3DS and PS4.

Catching wind from publication site Gematsu we learn that Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time has gone gold. The series creator, Yuji Horii, confirmed the above information at a Dragon Quest XI “Countdown Carnival” event at Nagoya that was a hands-on session. Now that the game is ready for mass production, gameplay footage from said event is up that contains some interesting stuff like horse riding.

In addition to the gameplay footage revealed during the event, new in-game actions and places were demonstrated like the Mysterious Smithing and Skill Panel for the 3DS version of DQXI, and horse riding and the casino featured via the PS4 version.

Additionally, the mode allows you to play the game with certain features disabled, which includes stuff like not being able to shop, not being able to run away from battles or not having the option to equip any armor.
