E3 2017: Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus Trailer Shows A Nazi-Occupied America

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus turned out to be one of the new games Bethesda is working on. It was also one of the worst kept secrets heading into E3. We already knew that the game is set to release on October 27th, 2017 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One thanks to an Amazon leak.

During Bethesda’s E3 conference they rolled out an eight minute trailer for Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. You can check out the trailer below.

B.J. Blazkowicz has been in a coma for a while and he wakes up only to find that Nazis have taken over America. The game continues after the events of the original Wolfenstein: The New Order and B.J., and his booty call Anya are having twins, but B.J., and Anya want to bring their kids into a world not occupied by Nazis.

They venture to America where the Nazis have controlled the media, the culture, and civil society.

The actual gameplay doesn’t come into play until seven whole minutes into the eight and a half minute long trailer. That’s right… you get seven minutes of cinematics and just a minute and a half of actual gameplay. The gameplay itself is still prototypical of what was in Wolfestein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. There doesn’t appear to be much more than that other than the new Liesel mechanical dog you ride, which seems awfully similar to Dog from Half-Life 2.

Now if you don’t mind that sort of stuff then whatever. But hopefully they hunker down and give us a reason to be excited about the gameplay and not just the story mode. It’s also still unsettling that they’re trying to get B.J. Blazkowicz to settle down with a chick.

I never took B.J., nor Doom Guy to be family men. It’s a little like when Sylvester Stallone made that gosh awful musical with Dolly Parton called Rhinestone.
