Are you a fan of One Piece? There’s great news for you in that Bandai Namco has a new PS4 VR game called One Piece: Grand Cruise in the works. New screenshots showing Grand Cruise as well as info is now available thanks to Bamco posting up the game’s teaser website.
A while back, screenshots of One Piece: Grand Cruise were featured in an issue of the Weekly Jump. The magazine covered that a special demo will be playable later this month, well the date for the playable demo has arrived along with some new stills of the PS4 game that will be VR compatible.
The new stills and info comes from a newly posted teaser website that Bandai Namco has opened for One Piece: Grand Cruise, the game is noted to be an action “pirate experience” and even has a description by Bamco for fans and gamers alike to read over:
“Go on a journey to the ocean together with the Straw Hat Pirates. The player is an apprentice pirate of the Straw Hat Pirates, and embark on a “one day voyage” on the Thousand Sunny. Adventures and events only unique to virtual reality will unfold, including navy shooting battles and communication events in which you’ll become closer with the Straw Hat Pirates.”
The newly posted screenshots can be seen below. The first of the three stills showcase a poster-like image of some of the characters that will be in the game, which is followed by a boat battle and Nami.
One Piece: Grand Cruise’s demo will be playable at a Tokyo Tower special event starting on July 22nd. The special version of the demo will sport an eight player co-op mode that will be open for attendees to try at said location.
Bandai Namco has not released any dates regarding the official release for One Piece: Grand Cruise. All that’s known about the game is that it will release in Japan.
