SEGA and Creative Assembly have taken to a blog post to announce that a new spin-off game series is in the works that will explore different conflicts. The name of this new spin-off series goes by the name of Total War Saga and will release for PC.
If you happen to be a fan of SEGA and Creative Assembly, especially the publisher and developer’s Total War games, then you might find the upcoming project known as A Total War Saga to be something worthy of your interest.
The new spin-off series will become available to play before the next major release in the franchise, however, building on previous titles, Total War Saga will focus on pivotal points in key eras like civil wars, conquests and political revolts. An excerpt from the update blog lies below for you to read over that explains the spin-off:
“Today we’re thrilled to announce a new class of historical Total War game on PC. Released under a new badge, Total War Saga games will be standalone spin-off titles focusing on exciting pivotal moments in history rather than whole historical eras.”
The blog reveals that A Total War Saga will maintain the same turn-based campaign strategy system, coupled with real-time battle tactics, but with a focus on a distinct moment.
The spin-offs under A Total War Saga will be new but are not revolutionary in any form, fashion or way. The new spin-offs will follow previous Total War games and will sport a similar scope to Fall of the Samurai.
Moreover, it’s worth noting that a lot of fans see this as an opportunity for SEGA to move paid DLC through A Total War Saga that charge gamers for mediocre content. It’s not official yet if that’s what SEGA will do, but that seems to be the common conclusion that most fans have at the moment.
Anyway, more information on the release of A Total War Saga is set to come out sometime soon. If you want more info as of this moment on the aforesaid, the newly posted blog lies over on totalwar.com.
