Telltale’s Batman: The Enemy Within Second Season Premieres August 8th

Telltale Games announced that they are continuing their take on Batman with the second season of Batman: The Telltale Series. The game is called Batman: The Enemy Within. Voice actors Troy Baker and Anthony Ingruber are reprising their roles as Bruce Wayne and the Joker.

The first of five episodes will launch on August 8th for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The game will also be available for Windows 10 and on GOG.com, in addition to launching on Steam.

In October they plan on releasing the game via retail for the Xbox One and PS4. They detailed this in both a press release and in a 14 minute video where Telltale covers the games and content they have planned to round out the summer, which you can check out below.

The video focuses heavily on the story and the aspects of the characters from the first season, and then it begins to add up into the discussion about Batman’s biggest foe in the second season… The Riddler.

The Joker will be more of a side-character that players will be able to interact with throughout the season as well, who will eventually shape and mold himself into the super villain that becomes Batman’s arch nemesis.

Apparently the Batman: The Telltale Series sold well enough to warrant the appearance of a second season, much more so than The Wolf Among Us. To be fair, Telltale’s Batman did at least have some interesting choices for players to make and the whole Harvey arc was done really, really well. In fact, I think it was one of the better Harvey stories, assuming you didn’t let his face get destroyed early on in the second episode.

You can look for Batman: The Enemy Within to go live on August 8th next month, digitally for home consoles, PC and mobile devices.
