In recent news, video game maker Ubisoft wants Adi Shankar, the one behind the upcoming Castlevania anime series on Netflix, to make an Assassin’s Creed anime series. There hasn’t been any word on when or where it will be aired, but it is known that Shankar’s next project will be revolving around the Assassin’s Creed universe with an “original story”.

Ubisoft has split its Assassin’s Creed community with some fans being content and others displeased when it comes to the series and the most recent games. One of the many problems with the series is that the company pumped out so many titles containing glitches, the same features, and other problems that the company had to take a break before announcing the most recent game, Origins, to the public to “seemingly” polish up said title.

Well, what seems to be an attempt by Ubisoft to boost up the Assassin’s Creed franchise and the upcoming game known as Origins, the company recently asked Adi Shankar to put out an anime of Assassin’s Creed. The information detailing the following matter comes from Shankar’s Facebook page:

“I’m happy to let you guys know that I’ve selected my next project! I played the first edition of Assassin’s Creed the year I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dream. At that moment I knew absolutely no one in the industry and could never have imagined that one day Ubisoft would ask me to take the world of Assassin’s Creed and create an original story set in it as an anime series. If anyone tells you not to follow your passion in life they are wrong.”

We will gain an understanding of Shankar’s quality of work when it comes to handling video games in an animated adaptation when the Castlevania anime series on Netflix debuts on July 7th, until then we will have to wait and see how he handles Assassin’s Creed when more info drops in the near future.
