Everybody’s Golf Now Available For PlayStation 4

Sony and Japan Studio recently announced that Everybody’s Golf is now available for the PlayStation 4. The game has been low-key promoted for Sony’s home system since it was covertly announced for release during this year’s E3.

The game is an alternate name for Hotshots Golf, the popular casual golfing game that gained its legs on the original PlayStation One way back in the 1990s. The updated game with an all new name embraces the more casual tone that Japan Studio was aiming for with Everybody’s Golf, and the more “inclusive” nature of the game’s multiplayer design.

If you’re unfamiliar with the game or its mechanics, they have a launch trailer that you can check out below that promptly catches you up to speed on the gameplay.

Even though the trailer is only 30 seconds long, it aptly gets across the gist, the modes, the gameplay and whatever expectations you may have had going in.

The blog post on the PlayStation Blog spends a bit more time actually covering the gameplay mechanics and the modes, including being able to create your very own golfer, male or female, black, white, brown, yellow, orange or whatever or rainbow-themed palette that comes to mind.

You can hone your skills on the practice range before jumping into the online battles, or you can participate in single-player tournaments to get good.

Winning tournaments and completing challenges will also unlock new features, such as clubs, outfits, upgrades and other rewards.

Once you feel you’ve earned enough loot, you can then take your swagger online and compete in the open-world, multiplayer mode supporting up to 50 players. There are a variety of mini-games and multiplayer challenges to partake in, ranging from fishing, to racing golf carts.

They do note that you will need PlayStation Plus if you want to use the online mode. So keep that in mind if you plan on picking up a copy of the game.

Everybody’s Golf is available right now, exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
