GWENT Joins E-Sports Craze And Gets A Campaign Mode

CD Projekt announced that a new e-sports league is getting underway for GWENT. The new league is called GWENT: Masters. A tutorial video was released, revealing that actively participating players in the pro-ladder season will earn crown points throughout each season, and those who score enough points will make the top competitive ladder(s).

There are three tournament tiers, including the Open tier, the Challenger tier, and the Masters series. The World Masters will be the season finale, grand finals. The Open tournament will see players battling to earn up to $25,000, while the Challenger tier will offer $100,000 in prize pool money, and the World Masters series will offer up $250,000. You can see how it all comes together and what the organization will be like with the video below.

If you’re actually interested in the e-sports aspects of GWENT and want to learn more about the whole thing, you can do so by visiting the official GWENT website.

Now, for everyone else who absolutely does not care about e-sports, CD Projekt Red is hoping to lure you in with news about the all new GWENT: Thronebreaker campaign mode.

They also released a trailer for this new mode as well, which sees players going on a dark journey where they gather resources, go through custom-made story battles, and engage on a journey of “destruction” and “revenge”. You can check out the video below.

The new campaign mode is set to arrive on all versions of GWENT, including PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

You can look for the campaign to go live at some point later this year for the CCG title.

They actually manage to keep the actual contents of the story under wraps, and basically only tease players about what’s to come.
